Ham Radio License Exams (VE Testing)
WHAT IS VE TESTING? Amateur radio license exams, commonly known as VE testing, is conducted by volunteer amateur radio operators around the area. The test consists of 35 questions, and tests your knowledge of various ham radio practices and electronics. | TEST DAY INFORMATION Testing sessions occur the second Thursday of each month and are held at: Time: 5:00 P.M. All candidates wishing to take the test should bring ALL of the following: 1. Two (2) forms of identification. One should be a Photo ID. All classes of amateur radio license tests will be administered.
Note: The Technician, General and Extra question pools are reviewed and updated on a four
year rotation. The pools are designed to test comprehension of FCC rules,
operating procedures, radio wave propagation electrical principals, circuits,
signals and emissions, antennas and transmission lines and safety. No question pool updates or releases will take
place in 2013. The next pool review is scheduled for 2014, which is for the Technician exam. All current question pools can be viewed
